With a constant pulse on both the commercial and residential real estate markets and an over 100 year family history in real estate, Joanie Shepherd is the driving force behind Prominent Properties and Mogull Realty Florida. For over fifteen years, Shepherd has been guiding clients through the complex world of real estate transactions and exchanges. She's completed over $100 million in transactions plus over $25 million in leases in 2008.

Shepherd was born into real estate. Her great grandfather owned and managed a 20-story apartment building in New York during the Great Depression. Her father continued the family tradition as a builder, investor and broker. Her brother was a pioneer in "green" building technologies in the early 1980s.

Shepherd is also the Florida Broker for Mogull Realty.  Mogull Realty has been a leading commercial brokerage in Manhattan and South Florida.  Anita has been a Brevard County resident since 1980 and has been active in the real estate business for over 30 years; obtaining her first real estate associate license in Ohio before moving to Florida.Prior to becoming a real estate broker in Florida in 1992 she was a licensed real estate associate in Florida.

Anita also has over twenty years of experience in the construction industry; building condominiums, townhomes, and luxury custom homes.Being the owner of a construction and land development company she has proven sales and management skills. An active member of the building community, Anita served as President of the Home Builders and Contractors Association of Brevard in 2000; was honored by that organization as the first woman Builder of the Year in 1998; and was named Builder of the Year again in 2003.

In addition to her real estate brokerage and construction knowledge, Anita brings her experiences and skills as an interior decorator, former licensed community association manager, commercial and residential property manager, certified hotel administrator, and certified structural masonry inspector to the team.

She prides herself in providing the optimum level of service to her clients through her attention to detail, uncompromising integrity, knowledge, and professionalism.

Anita is a graduate of Rollins College with a degree in psychology. Married to her husband of twenty-five years, David; they have three children and three grandchildren.  For relaxation she enjoys research, recreational reading, and cooking.
